overview all work extended tables, such as docid\ rvgciledajeiy6ax2olp6 , docid 9a1btrwywfkelysmdux2b , docid\ dbo09r1na6mccsdolxq4g and docid\ qnrgxbyn4uv7d1cqjukid , have auto sequenced numbering function that applies unique numbers for each record created in each table number prefix each auto sequenced table number has its own prefix, examples below table prefix incident inc itsmrequest req change chg problem prb number prefix changes are typically done on custom applications and before they are live changing a prefix for a process that is already live may cause confusion with your users and agents to configure, go to sequencenumber by navigating to application > table > table numbering to change a prefix, go to the record definition for your table, e g for change, below you can then change the "sequence prefix" to your choosing and click on save number reset this should only be needed before a process goes live, e g after creating a number of test tickets/records, you may want to delete them and restart the auto sequence number back from 1 to do a sequence number restart/reset, go to the sequence number record for the table, per the instructions above with "number prefix", and then click on the "open number pool" the form will show the sequence's "last number" to reset set "last number" to 0 click save screenshot below shows an example for change (chg)
