Details
Field | Type | Example | Notes / Description |
|---|---|---|---|
Name | String | CAB | This is the field that holds the name of the group which will be used as the display value in fields and situations where the group is used. |
Manager | Reference [User Table] | Admin Administrator | This is the user highlighted as the manager of a group. By default in the base platform this does not do anything, however notifications or otherwise can be configured to potentially use this field for emails. |
Description | String | This is the group used to assist with the change management process and gets asked for approval when a change is of the type major. | This is a description of the groups purpose. |
Selectable | Boolean | true | This determines if a group can be selectable in the majority of base platform tables, including anything extended from the Work table. |
Accessible from table | List | Change, ChangeTask | This determines the entities where a group can be selected. This is used in any table extended from work and is implemented via a reference qualifier. By default, if a Table has not been entered in this field, this group can be used in any Table. If one or multiple entities have been entered however, it will only be visible in the entities entered. |
Members of this group | Multiple reference [User Table] | Admin Administrator, John Smith, Claire Lee | These are the members of the group. These users will also automatically inherit any role that is associated to the group. |
Roles | Multiple reference [Role Table] | itsm_agent, platform_agent, platform_selfservice | These are the roles that are associated with a group. Any user that is associated to a group will automatically inherit any role in this field, as well as any role that the role itself inherits. |
