System fields and their behaviour
These are the fields that are accessible from every record and table by default (except when defined as otherwise).
These fields are always read only.

Type | | Table | This is the table this record is a part of. |
Updated by | | Reference(User table) | Holds the user that last updated the record. |
Updated on | | Date and time | Holds the date and time that the record was last updated. |
Version | | Integer | The number of times that the record was updated. |
ID | | Globally unique identifier | The unique identifier that is unique within the system for every record in the system. |
Current status | The table it is associated to must have Has workflow set as true in its definition | Workflow status | Holds the current status of a record. |
Previous status | The table it is associated to must have Has workflow set as true in its definition | Workflow status | Holds the previous status the record had. |
Previous transition | The table it is associated to must have Has workflow set as true in its definition | Workflow transition | Holds the ID of the transition that was last used to get to the current status. |
