 Servicely supports both inbound/outbound email connectivity with Microsoft hosted email inboxes, using Microsoft's Graph API.  On Entra's side, an App registration is to be created for this with the following API Application type permissions Also set a new Client secret for the App registration and keep a temporary copy for the Servicely configuration below.

Email connection using MS Graph API

 Microsoft has deprecated ‘legacy’ (Basic/password) based authentication methods for its Office365 service.  This means applications are now required to authenticate using what Microsoft terms ‘modern’ authentication, or OAuth2.

Office365 Modern Authentication - Email

 Email accounts for messaging are set up under the Administration → Messaging → Messaging accounts menu structure.  As a pre-requisite for OAuth authentication, you may refer to Office365 Modern Authentication - Email When creating a new Messaging Account, you can select from templates that provide the default settings for common services.

 This feature allows you to enable / disable emails in and out of the system (or allow them) on a per email address basis.  Common use cases where this functionality is used for This capability can work in conjunction with other inbound email processing capabilities available on the platform where Servicely can check an email for certain conditions (or inclusions) and determine how to process the inbound emails.

Email Address Override

 Servicely can receive inbound messages, and these can be used for common operations such as For each matching Inbound message configuration, a script is run that can perform the creates, updates, or any other server scripted actions in Servicely.
